Anime Card Clash Traits Guide

Use Anime Card Clash trait rerolls on proven cards, verify active effects, and find reroll sources without trusting stale shop values.

Traits add targeted value to Anime Card Clash cards, but rerolls are easy to waste. Community documentation describes trait rerolls from Story first clears, towers, explorations, quests, passes, shops, and codes. It also states that trait effects operate while the card is in the active deck or party. Confirm both the current trait text and mode rules in game.

Choose a reroll target

Start with a card that already earns a stable active slot. Identify its role and the mode where it matters. A Story farmer, long-fight attacker, and support do not necessarily want the same outcome. Avoid rerolling a new card until a baseline test proves it improves the deck.

Save the working loadout and note the current trait before opening the reroll interface. Decide which outcomes are acceptable and how many resources you can spend.

Verify the reroll source

Check current first-clear rewards, quest panels, tower milestones, exploration rewards, pass tracks, shops, and official codes. Do not use an archived exact count or price without confirming the live screen. Later community update notes described a Trait Shop rework in v9.0.3, so older shop guides are particularly vulnerable to drift.

Favor repeatable or predictable sources for routine rerolls. Preserve one-time rewards for a proven long-term card.

Match trait to role

Read the exact modifiers. Ask whether they improve the card’s damage pattern, activation, support effect, or another relevant stat. A rare-sounding result can be worse than a common effect that directly fixes the card’s job.

Test the card on the same content before and after. Record trait, equipped items, clear time or damage, and whether the effect is enabled in that mode.

Understand mode differences

Community Ranked documentation has described traits as disabled in a scaled rule set and enabled in an unrestricted rule set. That behavior can change, so read the current queue panel. A PvE-perfect trait may add no value in the competitive mode you chose.

Dungeons use separated run progression, so your normal owned trait may not transfer. Always confirm which systems are active rather than assuming the account loadout applies everywhere.

Set a stopping rule

Pick a reroll budget and acceptable outcomes before starting. Stop when you hit a result that serves the role, even if an old tier chart calls another trait perfect. Continuing without a limit can erase a strong practical outcome and consume the resources needed for other cards.

If the interface offers locks, confirmation, or a way to preserve an outcome, read it carefully. Do not click repeatedly through network delay.

Recheck after balance changes

After an update, inspect active cards and the Trait Shop. Repeat one benchmark before rerolling anything. If the card’s role or mode rules changed, the old preferred trait may no longer be the correct target.

Use Deck Building to prove the card’s slot, Farming to plan replacement resources, and Updates for dated system changes.

A safe reroll checklist

Confirm the card, role, current trait, acceptable outcomes, resource budget, and active mode rules. Verify how you will replace the rerolls. Then perform one action at a time and read the result. This checklist is intentionally slower than rapid clicking and much faster than recovering a lost rare trait with no plan.

Example target decisions

A consistent Story attacker that remains in every farming deck is usually a safer early reroll target than a newly obtained specialist. A support can be a good target only when its trait improves the support’s actual job and the card activates with the current attackers. A boss-only unit may justify investment when that boss route supplies a critical material.

If the acceptable trait appears early, stop and test it. Save the result in the correct loadout and compare the same stage or boss. If the outcome helps only under a potion, artifact, or unrestricted Ranked rule, record that condition.

Recover from a bad reroll session

Stop when the budget is exhausted. Do not consume reserves assigned to another proven card. Restore the previous deck if the new trait weakened the target, then return to the confirmed reroll source through quests, towers, explorations, or the live shop. Recheck the shop after a version change before repeating the plan.
