Anime Card Clash modes turn the same collection into different problems. Story establishes the main unlock path. Raids focus on persistent boss encounters and activity currencies. Dungeons remove normal owned power and create a temporary run. Ranked applies competitive rules. World Boss turns a shared or timed encounter into a contribution and reward decision.

The correct mode is the one whose current reward solves your account’s next problem. Read the live entrance, requirement, timer, and reward preview before committing consumables or a group. Public sources are useful for orientation, but exact thresholds and schedules are update-sensitive.

Choose a mode by goal

  • Story is the default route for map clears, difficulties, unlocks, and permanent progression.
  • Raids are repeatable or persistent boss activities with their own difficulties, currencies, materials, and crafting loop.
  • Dungeons start a separated run where owned cards and normal account items do not define the opening team.
  • Ranked tests decks under the queue’s current scaled or unrestricted rules.
  • World Boss covers event availability, contribution checks, boss materials, and a useful fallback plan.

Towers have enough distinct rules to live in the separate Towers hub. Guild Wars, Guild Boss, and Guild Hunt live in Guilds.

Start with Story

Story is accessed from the PLAY route or Teleport in community-documented layouts. Clear the next available map and difficulty, claim first-clear rewards, and inspect every new unlock. If you fail, diagnose damage, activation, or missing progression before rolling blindly.

Story progression can interact with quests, index systems, packs, towers, and other activities. Because it unlocks options, an achievable first clear often has more value than repeating a side mode with no current purpose.

Use raids for a defined boss target

Community references place raid access in a dedicated building and describe persistent boss encounters rather than the same schedule as World Boss. Raids can award their own currency or materials for crafting. Current difficulty, access, damage requirements, and recipes must be confirmed live.

Bring a boss-tested deck, choose a difficulty you can finish or meaningfully contribute to, and inspect the result screen. Save raid currency until you have compared all relevant recipes and shop uses.

Treat Dungeons as a fresh run

Dungeons are not a normal roster power check. Community documentation describes owned cards and ordinary items as unavailable inside, with Dungeon Instant Rolls, dungeon-specific cards, traits, luck, floor rewards, a merge system, and shared team lives. Party coordination matters because all players may need to enter the next floor.

Read the current modifiers and priorities. Build the temporary deck by roles, protect shared lives, and do not assume a normal account tier list transfers directly.

Read Ranked rules every session

Community pages have described scaled and unrestricted partitions, duplicate limits, and different trait behavior. Those rules can change. Open the current queue information and confirm card bans, scaling, traits, duplicate policy, scoring, and rewards.

Use a dedicated saved deck. Test activation and synergy before queueing. Treat rating as evidence for that ruleset and date, not proof that a card is universally strongest.

Prepare for World Boss availability

World Boss activities may depend on a server timer or current rotation. Community layouts place the entrance around the raid/shop side of the lobby, but use live signs and Teleport. Confirm the boss, remaining time, contribution rules, and reward method before using a potion.

Keep a fallback task ready. If the boss is unavailable, complete a quest, tower checkpoint, Story clear, or crafting-material route. Waiting idle is never required for account progress.

Match decks to mode behavior

Story farming usually rewards reliable, early damage. Boss modes can reward sustained output and scaling. Towers may ask for checkpoint survival or a specific floor answer. Ranked emphasizes current restrictions and counterplay. Dungeons ask you to assemble a coherent temporary team from offered resources.

Save separate loadouts when the normal Deck screen allows it. Label them by job, and confirm the active one before entering. The Deck Building guide gives a one-slot testing routine.

Verify rewards before repeating

After a run, inspect the end panel, Backpack, currencies, Card Index, quests, and any nearby shop. Determine whether the reward is a direct item, craft material, purchase currency, milestone, or first-clear grant. Then decide whether another run still offers the best return.

Do not calculate a public drop rate from a handful of results. Record your observation with the server date and let the live reward preview establish guaranteed outcomes.

Respond to update drift

Later community v9.0.3 notes mentioned fixes affecting dungeon, raid, ranked, and guild systems. That makes older exact rules especially fragile. When a portal, score, shop, or reward differs from a guide, trust the server and record the conflict on the Updates page.

A productive mode session ends with a verified reward and a clearer next action. Pick one objective, bring the correct deck, confirm the live rules, and leave when the account goal has been met.

A mode-selection example

If the account needs a raid crafting material, Story farming is a distraction even when it clears faster. If the raid difficulty repeatedly fails, however, an affordable tower artifact or Story unlock may be the shortest path back to that material. The destination stays the same while the immediate activity changes.

Use a simple note for each unlocked mode: next first clear, repeat reward, access cost, reliable deck, and current blocker. Review the note at login. This makes limited activities easy to prioritize and exposes modes that are being repeated with no useful return.
